How We Tackle a Slippery Situation


We Start With Our IDEA Process:

Identify the surface and underlying slip problem

First, we identify the surface type, and if it has been previously sealed waxed or otherwise coated.

We investigate the environment, location, use, wear, and traffic. Then we use our BOT3000 to benchmark the “as-is” surface DCOF (Dynamic Coefficient of Friction) just as a customer or employee would experience the surface. Next, we clean the surface and re-test to determine the cleaned DCOF, this helps us to see if the slip issue is potentially a cleaning issue.

Develop a customized remediation plan

Using that information and understanding of the client’s desires for the surface, both in use and aesthetics, we test options using our a full portfolio of next generation technologies and process. 

Options are costed out, discussed with the client and sometimes a mockup is done.

Execute to apply/install the Surface Solution

Once approved, we will handle all aspects of the project management; coordinating with your operations management we schedule one of our Factory Certified Installers, facilitate access and ensure quality application.

Audit/maintain surfaces with long term care & maintenance programs.

We can provide documentation of the enhanced DCOF. And because you can’t just walk away from a slip problem, we make sure to stay involved by recommending on-going cleaners, techniques, and equipment to maximize the effectiveness and longevity of the Solution.  We can even schedule periodic deep cleaning and re-audits to check the effectiveness of the Solution and maintenance methods.

At your request, we can recommend cleaning companies that have experience with our Solutions and how to maintain them, or train your current company or in-house crew.
