The Ithaka project in Princeton, NJ is an office restoration project. The client contracted with a vendor to dismantle and remove all cubicles and office furniture. Scrape the carpet and prepare the space to be polished.Surface Solutions was contracted to quickly grind and polish the space to a 400 grit finish. The employees were moved out for no more than 3 weeks in order to complete the project.
Project was completed with 2 grinders and a 5 man team.

Scope of Work: ~12,000 sq. ft. of concrete polishing in the hallways and lobby of an 8-floor apartment building. New Construction.

Surface Solutions was contracted to grind and polish the hallways and main lobby of a newly built 8-floor apartment building. The client requested large aggregate exposure which required starting with low grit steps and extra grinding to prep.
Scope began a few weeks before TCO and needed to be completed quickly. The condition of the concrete required the added use of epoxy grout in the polishing process.
Grout was troweled onto 100% of the floor after the opening grind in order to patch and repair the excessive pinholes in the concrete. Once removed, the concrete was polished up to an 800-grit finish, sealed with PolishGuard, and burnished to a high gloss finish.

Surface Solutions was contracted to quickly turn over a new space at Amex. We were brought in as the first trade on site in order to complete our scope and protect it prior to layout and construction.
The concrete was in rough shape under the glue and required significant patching after glue removal prior to polish.
The scope was completed in 3 shifts 6pm to 2am with 1 grinder and a 2 man crew.
